“I find my inspiration all over, mostly the internet to be honest. Instagram, blogs, Pinterest are all great sources of inspiration. I’m inspired by anyone following their dreams and who’s doing their own thing.”

Tell us about your travel blog and how you got started.
I’ve always loved writing and photography, I love documenting my life and blogging was the perfect outlet. I started blogging as a kid, just for fun, and when I started traveling more it was a great way for family and friends to keep up with what I was doing. My blog today is a lifestyle blog with a lot of focus on traveling, it’s always changing depending on what I’m doing. It’s my creative dumping ground.
Was this always what you wanted to do or did it emerge over time?
I’ve always liked documenting things, keeping photo albums and diaries, always taking pictures and writing. It’s so much fun to look back at post from when I was 14 and see how much it’s evolved. I’ve always been a creative person, and blogging was a natural outlet, I still don’t know exactly what I want to do, but it’s great to have my own space where I can dump all my creative messiness.
Where is your favourite place you’ve ever been and why?
Impossible question! Everywhere has it’s own reasons why it’s my favourite place. Hong Kong will always feel like home, I love it and it means a lot to me. It was my first solo trip and the five months I was there I grew so much, I will always be grateful that I got that experience.
Mexico, Italy, Cambodia and Vietnam are some of my favourite countries I’ve been to. I have a weird obsession with Italy, even though I’ve only been there once! When it comes to cities New York, Barcelona and London are great loves of mine!
Where do you go for creative inspiration?
I find my inspiration all over, mostly the internet to be honest. Instagram, blogs, Pinterest are all great sources of inspiration. I’m inspired by anyone following their dreams and who’s doing their own thing.
What message are you trying to share with your work?
I want my little space on the internet to feel like a fun happy place, I want it to be inspirational and for people to feel excited making their everyday life a little more colourful.
What advice would you give to aspiring travel bloggers?
Do it for yourself, don’t focus on readers or likes, post what you like and find your own thing. It does take a lot of work and a lot of time, put in the effort and be personal, in my personal opinion there’s nothing more boring than reading a blog that’s not personal. And invest in getting good pictures!
What are you most excited for in the future?
There are so many amazing things happening this year! I’m so excited to explore London in the summer, to take trips around the UK and this fall will bring a lot of exciting changes! There are so many possibilities and so many places I want to visit, my next big trip will (hopefully) be Japan or South Africa! Or maybe India, have been planning to visit India for years now, so really need to make that happen!
